Penny Black

Hello everyone!!

My Aunt is one of my biggest fans, so I always enjoy making her wonderful cards. I'm pretty sure she tells me that she mails them out to family and friends, but I really know she keeps the majority of them to herself because she loves them to much to part with them. So silly!

Today I've used some adorable Penny Black stamps and coloured them with Copic Marker. I also used a Hero Arts background stamp in a Hero Arts Mid-Tone Shadow ink called Stone Wash. I used the Simon Says Stamp Chain Link Die. I think its so neat! I made three simple, fast cards using the same layout with different images. They turned out great!

I also put some Stickles on the flowers and bumble bees.

Thanks for dropping by. See you around.

Copic Colouring

Hey Everyone,

Seems that I've missed my new years resolution of having a posting up a week. This week I've decided that I am going to do 2 blog postings!!

Today I got to play around with my Copic markers and Greeting Farm's princesses. I love using Greeting Farm images, they are just so fun to colour, and its easy to stay within the lines. They also have digital images for sale on their website that are adorable. I wish all their images were digital, so I could have them all within a click of a button.

I learned that Archival Ink and Copics are not best friends, from now on I'm sticking to Momento Ink.

After I coloured my pretty princess in, I used a white gel pen to add the details to their dresses and crowns.  I also used Stickles glitter glue on her crown to add a bit of 'royal' glitter.

Now I just have to put them on a card! :)

Have a great week everyone.

Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year into 2013!!

Any new, New Year's resolutions that you have made for this year?! Well mine is to get married! I'm so excited for all the exciting things that will be happening this year!

I also have a new goal to update this blog more that I have been. I know you've heard it before, all I seem to talk about is how I never update my blog! I'm going to start with a realistic goal of updating it once a month, and once I get into the habit of that, maybe once a WEEK!!! How exciting would that be?

Seems that I love making birthday cards (expecially girly ones), so here are TWO birthday cards that I am sharing with you today!

Both of the birthday sentiments are from Hero Arts, the die cuts are from SimonSayStamp.com. The top one is called Prim Poppy, and the bottom die cut flower is called Fresh Daisies  I used distress inks to create the backgrounds, I got this idea from watching Kristina Werner video's.

Thanks for stopping! Hope to see you next month!!
